At the end of this class, students will receive an EMERGE certificate of completion. The following is a description of the class:
Because of its rich redemptive account, Isaiah 53 has been called by some scholars “The Fifth Gospel” to be added to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Where other prophesies in the Old Testament deal with the physical part of Christ’s crucifixion, Isaiah 53 deals with the spiritual aspects and how they impact us today.  It holds the answers to such questions as, “Is our bodily healing included in the Covenant? What was Jesus doing while His body was in the grave for 3 days?”  It is the deepest prophetic look at what Christ Jesus would experience in order to achieve our redemption, 700 years before He would be born on the earth as a human. Isaiah 53 is one of the most detailed revelations of the redemptive work of Christ in the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments.
